The Community Health Centers of Burlington's Dental Center is the only Federally Qualified Health Center dental program serving Chittenden County. With five staff dentists, three dental residents, and a large support staff, we care for all ages and enjoy providing your child’s first “happy visit’ to the dentist.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, all dental services are available on our Sliding-Fee scale to income eligible, uninsured residents. We welcome Medicaid and private employer based insurance for adults and children. For low-income, uninsured community residents with dental emergencies, we accept state general assistance vouchers.
CHCB's Dental Center has moved back home to 617 Riverside Avenue!
In March of 2012, CHCB's Dental Center moved from it's temporary location at 789 Pine Street, back home to the Riverside Health Center located at 617 Riverside Avenue. Your CHCB Dental Center team is excited to welcome you in their new space!
CHCB's Dental Center sites are conveniently located in our new builing at 617 Riverside Avenue, the Safe Harbor Health Center at 184 South Winooski Avenue, and at our School-Based Dental Center located at 6 Archibald Street at the Integrated Arts Academy at HO Wheeler School. The Integrated Arts Academy at HO Wheeler school site only provides care for Medicaid enrolled and uninsured low-income Burlington elementary and middle school aged Burlington children. Burlington high school students can be seen at our two other locations.
Currently, CHCB's Dental Center is accepting new patients. All new patients are encouraged to call (802) 652-1050 for registration materials before their first appointment. If applying for our Sliding-Fee Scale (available to income eligible patients who live or work in Chittenden County, North Hero, South Hero, or Grand Isle), please be prepared to provide two recent forms of income verification, such as pay stubs or tax forms.
“I can’t tell you what is like to live without teeth. I hadn’t had a hot meal in years and I could only eat soft foods in tiny little bites. Now, I can talk better with teeth and I like the way I look. When my bus driver saw me, he said ‘What happened to you? You look ten years younger!’ I am so thankful for what the Health Center did. I actually liked going to the dentist.” - Bruce, age 54
